Freezer to oven: fresh-baked cookies at home in 15 mins

Same soft-baked feel you already know from Milk it cookies... just straight from the freezer. Each pouch holds 8 pre-portioned 100g dough balls in one flavour, so you can bake one for a 3am feed or tip the whole tray in and let the smell of fresh-baked cookies take over the kitchen. No defrosting, no fuss; ready in 15 minutes, any time of day or night.

Stock the freezer while you're pregnant, and it's waiting for you on the other side — a proper sweet treat hit whenever postpartum life calls for one.

Made for new mums, with real, functional ingredients baked in — oats, brewer's yeast, flaxseed and fenugreek — because feeding a baby shouldn't mean forgetting the mother. No preservatives, no shortcuts, not when you need it most.

What's in the Pouch

Your frozen cookies arrive portioned in mylar pouches — chosen on purpose to be flexible enough to tuck into your freezer without hogging space, however packed it already is.

Store them in the freezer, bake when you're ready, and enjoy warm from the oven.

Our Packaging

Frozen dough has to arrive frozen, so it comes swaddled like a newborn: a wool fleece liner and gel ice packs alongside your cookie dough. None of it needs to go straight in the bin.

The wool: wrap it round a bottle of fizz to keep it chilled, use it to insulate a picnic basket, or wrap it round a plant pot to keep the frost off. When you're done, peel off the plastic film and pop the wool in your compost or food waste. It's fully compostable. The film recycles the same way as a carrier bag.

The gel packs: back in the freezer they go, ready to use again. Wrapped in a tea towel, they make a cold pack for postpartum aches. Or pop them in an insulated cool bag to keep pumped breastmilk cool on the go. Use them until they split, then bin them.

How to bake

Bake from frozen — no need to defrost. 190°C fan for 15 minutes. Edges should be set, centre still slightly soft. Leave on the tray for 10 minutes before eating; they'll keep setting as they cool.

Optional but highly recommended: a pinch of flaky sea salt while they're still warm. Extra credit: a scoop of your favourite ice cream on the side... you're already standing at the freezer, may as well.

  • Sticker that says real ingredients with function, with an illustration of a whisk and mixing bowl

FAQs

  • We recommend saving them for postpartum, as fenugreek may not be suitable during pregnancy.

  • Right now, frozen comes in two flavours — Classic and Rich — both containing wheat, milk, eggs and soya. If you need dairy-free, soya-free, vegan or gluten-free, our baked range has you covered (Golden, Toasted, Coast and Sunday).

We're working on bringing more flavours to the frozen range, vegan and made-without-gluten are coming next — sign up to our newsletter (in the footer) to be first to know when they land, or email me at hello@milkitbakehouse.com and tell me what you'd love to see.

All of our cookies are baked in the same small kitchen, so while we do everything we can to avoid cross-contact, none of our flavours are suitable for those with a severe allergies or coeliac disease.

Milk it cookies are halal-friendly — we don't use any alcohol, gelatin, or animal-derived enzymes. Any ingredient questions, use the contact form or email me — I'm always happy to help.

  • Keep them in the freezer (-18°C or below) until you're ready to bake for up to three months.

Once baked, they're best enjoyed within 5 days, kept in an airtight container at room temperature.

Top tip: only bake what you need, when you need it — that's the whole point of having a freezer full of them.

  • Because your cookie dough is travelling frozen, DPD will make only one delivery attempt to get your parcel safely to you.

Please make sure you provide your full and correct delivery address, mobile number and email address when ordering. DPD will use these details to send you a one-hour delivery window on delivery day, so you’ll know when your dough is on its way!

You’ll need to either be home to receive your delivery or nominate a suitable safe place via DPD for your parcel to be left (ideally somewhere not in direct sunlight).

If you’re not available to receive your parcel and haven’t nominated a suitable safe place, unfortunately your dough will need to be taken away and disposed of by DPD. As it’s a frozen product, we can’t guarantee it would still be safe and delicious to enjoy after another day in transit, so we’re unable to reattempt delivery or offer a refund in these circumstances.

Please keep an eye out for your DPD updates on delivery day so we can get your dough from our freezer to yours as smoothly as possible!

  • One pouch's a proper stash on its own — 8 cookies, ready whenever you need them.

Though we reckon it makes sense to go straight for the 2-Pack: mix a Classic and a Rich, or double up on your favourite, and you're not caught short between drops. Plus it's more cost effective.

  • Because frozen shipping is the expensive part — the insulated packaging, ice packs and next-day courier. When you order two together, that cost gets split across both instead of doubled, so we can pass the savings onto you, and increase the value you get. 🤎 If you have the freezer space, it's the move for sure.

  • We make our frozen cookies fresh, in small batches, once a week. Orders close Sunday at midnight (or once we sell out), then we make and chill the dough before portioning and freezing the cookies ready for dispatch.

All frozen orders ship together on Wednesdays via DPD Next Day. Keeping to one weekly dispatch means we can make, freeze and pack everything properly before it leaves us — so it arrives in the best possible condition.

We only make a limited number of frozen pouches each week, so once that week's batch is gone, it's gone.

  • For now, it's Classic or Rich, 8 frozen dough balls per pouch. Stay tuned — more flavours are coming soon. If you are buying two pouches (which you should, it’s much better value!), you can select one Classic and one Rich or two of the same flavour.

Favourite smell? My baby’s head.
Close second? Fresh baked cookies in my kitchen.
