Meet Milk it

Milk it is a fast-growing UK bakery creating small-batch lactation cookies for new mums, available two ways: freshly baked cookie boxes delivered across the UK, and frozen cookie dough that bakes straight from the freezer in 15 minutes. Since launching in October 2025, the brand has already been featured in leading parenting and lifestyle publications for its nourishing and premium approach to postpartum support.

Founder Bio

Mel Mckechnie — Founder, Milk it

Mel is a doula, breastfeeding support counsellor, and pregnancy and postpartum nutrition consultant based in Cornwall. With extensive experience supporting new mums through birth and early postpartum, she created Milk it to offer something simple but deeply needed: a nourishing, fresh-baked snack designed for the realities of postpartum life, and one that was easily gifted.

Since launching in October 2025, Milk it has grown through word-of-mouth, weekly sell-out drops, and features in leading parenting titles. Cookie boxes are baked fresh in small batches and delivered across the UK, and Milk it's frozen cookie dough lets mums bake a warm cookie straight from the freezer whenever they need one. Both are made with ingredients traditionally known to support milk supply — oats, flaxseed, brewer’s yeast, and fenugreek — all wrapped into a bakery-style cookie that feels like a hug on a hard day.
