How soon do the cookies ship after I order?
Orders close each Sunday at midnight. We bake on Tuesdays and ship via Royal Mail Tracked 24 the same day. You’ll usually receive your cookies on Wednesday.
📦 Heads up: If you order on Monday, your cookies will be baked the following week. We’re a one-woman bakery and bake in small batches to minimise waste and maximise freshness.

Yes! Use the pre-order calendar to choose an upcoming drop.

Can I select a different day for delivery?

  • Are these cookies just for breastfeeding mums?
They’re designed to support lactation, but anyone can enjoy them. They are not intended for use during pregnancy due to fenugreek.

Can I eat them while pregnant?
We recommend saving them for postpartum, as fenugreek may not be suitable during pregnancy.

Are there any options for various dietary needs?
Right now, our cookies contain dairy, gluten, eggs, and soy (from the chocolate couvertures). We don’t currently have alternative versions, but we know there may be interest in options like vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free.

We’re gauging interest and working on developing new recipes, so click here to join the waitlist.

    • Vegan
    • Gluten-free
    • Dairy-free
    • Soy-free

    Can I choose flavours?
Yes! You’ll select your custom mix of 8 cookies before checkout.

What if I want more than 8 cookies?
Just increase the quantity in your cart. Each box includes 8 cookies.

    How big are the cookies?
Each cookie is 100g — big, bakery-style, and satisfying.

    Are the ingredients organic?
We use high-quality, real-food ingredients, though not all are certified organic. There are no seed oils, additives or preservatives.

Do Milk it cookies contain caffeine?
Yes, but only small amounts naturally present in chocolate (there's more in milk and dark chocolate than white chocolate). Here’s the breakdown per cookie:

    • Classic (oatmeal chocolate chip): ~17 mg
    • Cowgirl (cornflakes, pecans, coconut, chocolate): ~12 mg
    • Rich (triple chocolate): ~16 mg
    • Creamy (banana pudding + white choc): ~0.5 mg

For context, a cup of brewed coffee has around 95 mg of caffeine.

  • Can I send cookies as a gift?
Absolutely. Add a message at checkout and we’ll include it in the box.

Can I buy a gift card?
Yes! You can purchase a gift card here. Let her choose when she’s ready.

Will pricing info be included in the gift box?
No. We only include your gift note, a breastfeeding support resource and the cookies, beautifully packaged.

Can I send to multiple addresses?
Each order ships to one address. For multiple recipients, place separate orders.

Can I add Milk it cookies to my baby registry?
Yes! Just add a note to your registry with a link to our gift card site. ❤️

  • Are they nut-free?
Some flavours contain nuts, and all cookies are made in a kitchen that handles nuts. We cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.

    How long do they last?
Keep in an airtight container (or in their original cookie bags) at room temperature for up to 7 - 10 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months — they defrost like a dream. Just leave at room temperature for at least 4 hours or overnight on the counter (until they are soft throughout).

    Can I reheat them?
Yes! Pop your cookie in the microwave (remove from the packaging) for 10 seconds to bring back that fresh-baked magic. We've heard they are amazing after being popped in the air fryer for a moment as well. Pro tip: add a pinch of flaky sea salt after warming for an extra hit of indulgence—unless it’s the Cowgirl cookie, which already has that salty sparkle on top. 🔥

    What's causing that sweet smell?
After eating the cookies, you may notice a slight sweet smell to your sweat or wee. Totally normal! Fenugreek — one of the ingredients traditionally used to support milk supply — has a naturally sweet, maple-syrup-like scent once processed thanks to a compound called sotolon. If you notice your wee, skin or sweat smells a bit like pancakes, it’s just your body processing the fenugreek. Nothing to worry about — and yes, it’s surprisingly common!

  • Do these boost milk supply?
Our cookies include ingredients traditionally used to support lactation, like oats, flaxseed, brewer’s yeast, and fenugreek. While we don’t make medical claims, many mums find them incredibly helpful.

Do they replace other lactation support?
They’re designed to complement—not replace—hydration, rest, and proper latch. Every box includes a QR code linking to expert-led breastfeeding resources.

    What are galactagogues?
Galactagogues are foods or herbs believed to support milk production. Our cookies include multiple galactagogues, chosen to work together in a functional (and delicious) way.

How many cookies should I eat per day? Most people start with 1 cookie a day. Some may find 2 works best, especially during cluster feeding days or supply dips. Everyone’s body is different, so you can adjust based on how you feel.

When should I start eating the cookies? During pregnancy or after?
We recommend waiting until after birth, as the cookies contain fenugreek, which is not generally advised during pregnancy. That said, you can order ahead and freeze your cookies if you'd like to have them ready for postpartum.

When do you start to see results?
Most mums notice a difference after just one cookie; others may need a week or more. Consistency and overall breastfeeding support (skin-to-skin, hydration and proper positioning and attachment) play a big role.

Do I need to eat the cookies the whole time I am breastfeeding?
Not at all. You can enjoy them as a regular support tool, during periods of lower supply, or simply as a nourishing treat. Many mums keep them on hand for growth spurts, pumping days, or returning to work.

What if I have an oversupply? Should I still eat Milk it cookies?
If you’re experiencing an oversupply, you may want to skip lactation cookies — for now. Milk it cookies are made with ingredients traditionally known to support milk production, which could potentially exacerbate an already abundant supply.

Oversupply can bring its own set of challenges, from engorgement and forceful letdowns to digestive discomfort in your baby. If this sounds like you, focus on balancing your supply first — and save the cookies for when your supply regulates or during a future dip (like growth spurts or returning to work).
